Responsibilities
- Inspects, tests, adjusts, disinfects, flushes and performs minor maintenance and troubleshooting of water distribution systems.
- Collects data and makes reports for use by the Company and regulatory agencies.
- Maintains all necessary operating licenses regarding the Domestic Water plant and water distribution system.
- Maintains compliance with State, Federal and Local water and wastewater regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic math and computer literacy.
- Microsoft computer operating systems.
- Obtain and maintain required State and Federal treatment licenses.
- Valid California Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to detect faulty instrument and control device operation.
- Analyze and correct problems as related to overall control of water purification processes.
- Make minor repairs to domestic and wastewater plant and distribution system equipment.
- Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies.
- Experience driving in snow and mountain conditions.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Big Creek. However, the successful candidate will also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at throughout the Hydro Project area.
- Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- This position will work a 4/10 schedule Wednesday - Saturday.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
- This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: EEI TECH (Test #5107). Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
