In this on-site role based in Bishop, you’ll perform clerical and accounting work that supports multiple locations across SCE’s Hydro Generation fleet, including Bishop/Mono, Kern River, and Kaweah. You’ll help crews stay prepared by coordinating material and equipment orders, assisting with budget preparation, creating reports to analyze current and future spend, and supporting warehouse duties as needed. Responsibilities
- Perform clerical and accounting work, including work orders, completion reports, budget support, payroll/timekeeping forms, employee records, reports, and related documentation.
- Process requisitions, purchase orders, non-PO requests, material/equipment forms, vendor outreach, and inventory/accounting records.
- Order, receive, ship, transfer, load, unload, move, and lift materials, tools, equipment, and supplies used in Hydro operations.
- Support office operations, meeting setup, travel/training coordination, compliance postings, certification scheduling, records, files, and similar duties as required.
- Serve as a professional and helpful point of contact for employees, crews, vendors, and visitors.
- Operate a forklift or other common material handling equipment as required, after appropriate training or certification.
- Apply contract interpretation for timekeeping, allowances, rates of pay, and employee expense accounts, as applicable.
- Assist junior employees and relieve the Supervising Division Clerk as required.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to those acquired through a high school education and considerable training and experience in Field Division accounting and clerical duties.
- Knowledge of clerical and accounting procedures used in a Field Division office, including budget application, material accounting, contract interpretations, and commonly used office machines.
- Ability to apply clerical and accounting procedures, compile data, prepare reports, communicate tactfully, and assist employees with job duties.
- Ability to handle material, equipment, and supplies and operate a forklift and other common material handling equipment.
- Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in office administration, accounting support, procurement, warehousing, inventory, vendor coordination, or field operations support.
- Experience processing purchase orders, invoices, non-PO requests, expense reports, timekeeping, payroll forms, or similar transactions.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, adapt, and work as a dependable teammate in a hands-on field operations environment.
- Interest in supporting a Bishop-based Hydro team near the Eastern Sierra region.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Bishop, CA.
- Position will require up to 15% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- This position work schedule is 4/10s Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm.
- This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: #4101, 4118, and 5206. Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position. Testing center is located in Irwindale, CA.
