This role partners closely with field leaders, contractors, and safety teams to plan complex lifts, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Develops departmental policies and procedures and assists in the development of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement projects, determine scope, budget, timeframes, form teams, assign tasks, and manage resources and issues.
  • Oversees and ensures that all fleet personnel maintain complete and precise adherence to all, federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Supervises, trains, coaches, and guides operations staff.
  • Develops business cases to support fleet right sizing, asset procurement and disposal.
  • Manages and ensures existing and upcoming projects and contracts have the necessary assets to complete work and that functional teams are prepared to provide support.
  • Develops, maintains and effectively implements fleet related acquisition and disposal and salvage processes.
  • Ensures that processes and systems are in place to keep the organization appraised of vehicle acquisition status.
  • Supports periodically the TSD Rentals 24x7 Duty line and supports corporate IMT efforts.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising fleet operations.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing crane or heavy‑lift operations in utility, construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in lift planning, critical lift reviews, and rigging methodologies
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, Cal/OSHA, ANSI, ASME, and utility safety standards
  • Experience managing union and/or contractor workforces in a regulated environment
  • Strong incident investigation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation experience
  • Proven ability to lead safety culture improvements and operational performance initiatives
  • Experience with equipment lifecycle planning, and vendor performance management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence field crews, leadership, and external partners

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
