Become a Grid Operations Power Systems Data Scientist Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. Your work will harness SCE’s varied sensors and systems to identify opportunities to better understand conditions on the electric grid, then bring those actionable insights to Operators and Field Personnel. Preferred Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and common data science or analytics libraries, with hands-on experience working with large, complex, or time-series datasets and a demonstrated interest in deeply understanding the data.
• Experience developing and supporting data-driven applications or advanced analytics solutions end-to-end, from data exploration and preparation through deployment and ongoing maintenance to solve real-world problems.
• Experience with electrical power systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and analytics environments, including best practices for building, deploying, and scaling analytics or data-driven applications.
• Ability to translate analytical results into clear, actionable insights, dashboards, or tools for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. Positive experience working collaboratively across teams and communicating impact, including quantifying the business or operational value of analytics or application development work.
• Familiarity with analytics applications in regulated, infrastructure-focused, or operational environments.

Additional Information 

• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
