Incident Management Team (IMT) Participation: When needed, incumbents in this job are required to serve as members of the Incident Management Team (IMT) to support emergency response and business continuity efforts. This essential function includes on‑call availability on a rotating basis (approximately every four to six weeks), the ability to work extended hours up to 12‑hour shifts during IMT activations, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally necessary during emergency events, readiness to report in person to the Irwindale location on short notice, completion and maintenance of required IMT training and qualifications, and the performance of assigned IMT duties that may differ from regular responsibilities. These requirements are considered essential functions of the role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drives the delivery of analytical support to the enterprise, optimizing the collection, analysis and reporting of data, which enables successful completion of key business operations projects.
  • Acts as a key consultant to stakeholders, presenting complex analytical findings and making recommendations as to their impact on business operations.
  • Creates and monitors performance dashboards to track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to optimize process improvement activities, and support portfolio operations in developing performance metrics.
  • Evaluates business operations processes and recommends actions to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing costs.
  • Performs analyses and evaluates business operational risk requirements, identifying suitable risk mitigations and communicating them to leadership.
  • Meets with stakeholders to identify their projects' specific requirements, recommends applicable tools, and provides periodic updates through to project completion.
  • Optimizes the development of business plan scenarios to evaluate different priorities and potential options to achieving the enterprise's objectives.
  • Works with business planning and performance management teams to develop option sets to meet business planning scenarios considering financial, operational, and regulatory risks and constraints.
  • Trains newly hired analysts on various aspects of the job they will be undertaking through mentorship.
  • Drives the validation of established processes to ensure alignment with relevant rules, principles, laws, and industry standards with the goal to safeguard assets, minimize errors, and ensure operational activities are performed to mitigate risk.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in business operations analysis.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience synthesizing complex information, shaping recommendations, and enabling leadership decision-making.
  • Proven experience developing and executing resiliency and operational risk programs across complex organizations, including governance, standards, and performance management.
  • Experience developing scorecards and cascading metrics (macro/micro views), producing executive-ready reporting, and tracking mitigations/actions to closure.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, contract oversight, and performance reporting.
  • Experience supporting regulatory filings, compliance deliverables, and emergent data requests/proceedings (e.g., CPUC; GRC/RAMP/WMP/CEMA or similar), including cross-stakeholder coordination and quality control.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills, including communicating impacts of process/policy changes and driving alignment across organizational units.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, escalate, and resolve complex and high-visibility issues using sound judgment, discretion, and an enterprise perspective.
  • Experience in emergency management workstreams, readiness, and response operations; experience supporting an Incident Management Team (IMT) is a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
