Become a Compliance & Quality (Energy Efficiency) Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll drive the integrity and effectiveness of energy efficiency portfolios by leading controls, compliance, and quality strategy—ensuring programs align with regulatory requirements while delivering measurable, defensible results. Partner across regulatory, legal, and implementation teams to proactively identify risks, strengthen oversight frameworks, and elevate program performance at scale.
Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Develops business requirements, performs gap analysis, and identifies strategies for controls and risk mitigation.
- Facilitates training and ensuring the effective remediation of potential non-compliant situations.
- Supports legislative strategy and legislative language development to advance or defend company positions.
- Conducts audit reviews to ensure that the company stays compliant with the policies and standards enforced by relevant agencies.
- Identifies significant regulatory challenges and commercial opportunities, for the current and future regulatory environments.
- Advises and counsels on new consumer products and product structures and compliance with changing regulatory rules and varying political environment.
- Oversees and implements the organization's compliance reporting activities.
- Leads regulatory report submission for the company.
- Provides guidance to cross-functional organizations on considering preventative measures on corrective action responses.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience with regulatory filings/proceedings and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, regulatory policy, audit, or other related discipline.
- Experience with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Utility or regulated industry experience.
- Knowledge of Energy Regulation and/or Energy Efficiency compliance standards.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills including presenting to senior management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate compliance interpretation to management.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and build positive working relationships, even under challenging circumstances (time constraints, staffing limitations).
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
