Become a Compliance & Quality Senior Specialist (Energy Efficiency) at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll assist in the execution of compliance, quality, and controls activities for energy efficiency programs through data analysis, performance monitoring, and process reviews. Leverage program data to identify trends, assess risks, support regulatory compliance, and help ensure accurate, defensible program results.
Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Formulates positions and draft regulatory filings to support advocacy efforts.
- Collaborates with legal team to ensure all compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Collaborates with various internal and external parties to ensure compliance with the rules set forth by the various regulatory organizations.
- Shares insights from collaborating with Retail business and Government Affairs team to define advocacy strategies and outreach plans.
- Monitors, investigates, and reviews compliance evidence in support of compliance activities.
- Provides regulatory guidance on a variety of key growth initiatives including M and A efforts.
- Identifies and participates in industry associations that may be valuable to the company.
- Monitors and participates in regulatory proceedings and governmental matters, and ensure company compliance with regulations and filings.
- Participates in conducting audit reviews to ensure that the company stays compliant with the policies and standards enforced by relevant agencies.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with regulatory filings/proceedings and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, finance, or related discipline.
- Experience with Copilot and other AI platforms.
- Two or more years of experience with PowerApps and Power Automate.
- Experience in regulatory compliance within the utility sector.
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience making recommendations to streamline and optimize business operations.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
