Become a Data Analytics, Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll apply advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to support Building Electrification (BE) and Income Qualified (IQ) programs. You will lead complex analytical initiatives, develop predictive models, and generate insights that inform program strategy, regulatory reporting, and operational decision-making. The Advisor operates independently, driving high-impact analyses, supporting cross-functional execution, and strengthening data quality, governance, and analytical methodologies.
Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Gathers relevant data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, or data warehouses and ensures data integrity by cleaning and preprocessing it to remove errors, inconsistencies, or missing values that could affect the accuracy of the analysis.
- Uses statistical and analytical techniques to explore and examine cleaned data; apply methods like descriptive statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns, relationships, and trends within the data.
- Transforms data into visual representations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards; visualizations should present insights and findings clearly and concisely, enabling stakeholders to understand the information easily and make data-driven decisions.
- Creates reports and summaries that effectively communicate analysis and findings to non-technical audiences; reports should include key metrics, data visualizations, and actionable recommendations to help stakeholders understand data implications and make informed decisions.
- Continually monitors data quality, track performance metrics, and analyzes new data to ensure the relevance and accuracy of insights and assists in evaluating and improving data analytics methodologies and processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Works with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders from different departments, to define analytic objectives, align data analysis with business needs and communicate insights effectively.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in data analysis.
- Experience using a variety of data tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering)
- Experience using programming tools (e.g., SQL, Python, SAS or similar)
- Experience developing predictive models, statistical analyses, or machine learning applications
- Experience developing dashboards and reporting tools using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Familiarity with Building Electrification, Energy Efficiency, or Income Qualified programs
- Experience supporting regulatory environments, including CPUC reporting, audits, or data requests
- Experience preparing executive-level reporting materials and communicating complex analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing multiple analytical projects and influence outcomes through data-driven insights
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
