Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides reporting on key metrics related to major programs and initiatives.
  • Develops, produces, and tracks key metrics through automated processes and KPI dashboards.
  • Monitors the creation and storage of documentation and records for use in project monitoring, ensuring accuracy and completeness in order to track project/program costs, resources, schedules, and status for management review.
  • Delivers data analysis and business intelligence reports, including complex requests with high internal and external visibility or special requests, such as audits.
  • Coordinates research efforts on various topics to ensure timely information is gathered which can form the basis for decision making on organization priorities and needs.
  • Contributes to process improvement and refinement efforts of department and/or Operating Unit. Develops and maintains systems/tools to facilitate work processes, records management, and communications in support of Business Operations analysis.
  • Develops and reports on key performance indicators to measure efficiency and effectiveness of projects and programs.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in business operations analysis.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of electric utility (or Southern California Edison's) distribution and sub-transmission networks, including the ability to analyze outage impacts, interpret circuit and substation configurations, assess customer restoration scenarios, and translate technical information into clear, customer-focused communications.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience supporting electric operations, outage management, customer communications, customer service, incident response, emergency management, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience utilizing operational and customer information systems such as Outage Management Systems (OMS), Incident Manager, PragmaView/PragmaWeb, Customer Service System (C4C and/or SAP), and ITOA (Outage Request Logs and/or Interruption Logs).
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to translate technical and operational information into customer-friendly messaging.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
  • Experience using reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly while adapting to evolving business needs and operational priorities.
  • Experience supporting emergency response activities, outage restoration efforts, incident command structures, or business continuity operations is preferred

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • The primary work location for this position is Redlands, CA.  However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at Irwindale, CA.
