Responsibilities
- Contributes to enterprise-wide safety programs and initiatives, identifies opportunities and develops new processes and programs to support Edison Safety strategic objectives.
- Evaluates and provides recommendations in such areas as safety culture, safety management systems, strategy and explains facts, practices and policies to internal or external partners.
- Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables and budgets Follows tasks and schedule necessary for successful project execution.
- Develops safety programs, policies and procedure for the enterprise after consultation with all levels of management; exercises broad judgement and discretion in determining methods, processes, activities, and courses of action which have a significant impact on project success.
- Assists team to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Works with OU leadership to influence major initiatives and implements strategic projects. Develops and presents materials and reports to local company leadership.
- Conducts training and presentations related to Safety projects and programs. Provides guidance about work activities to colleagues.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in health, safety, or compliance programs, activities, or systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in program, or project management, leading and delivering initiatives, managing timelines, risks, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution of programs.
- Experience in any of the following, or a combination of safety regulations/requirements, supply chain management, safety management systems, and compliance requirements.
- Strong presentation skills both in-person or virtually.
- Experience documenting processes and procedures.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
