Become a Project Manager of Pricing Implementation at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will take the lead on complex, high visibility projects that help customers better manage their energy use and costs all while supporting California's ambitious climate goals.
You'll run end to end delivery of large-scale initiatives that bring new pricing programs to life for millions of customers.
Examples include:
- Rolling out net energy metering and load management programs
- Launching time of use or dynamic pricing offerings for residential customers
- Improving the customer bill, website, or mobile tools to support better energy choices for our customers
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading cross functional teams and/or project work streams from concept to implementation
- Building strategies, developing roadmaps, and handling timelines and budgets
- Driving alignment across policy, IT, operations, and customer service functions
- Ensuring a smooth customer experience - from system design to frontline support

Responsibilities
- Manages the activities of one or more moderate to large, short to mid-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes
- Exercises considerable latitude and judgement in developing plans, budgets, and resources, directing activities and actions, and determining deliverable
- Decides appropriate methods, procedures for new projects with significant independence
- Engages with all levels of management and acts as a key consultant for both functional and business issues
- Facilitates project execution, administration, correspondence, and flow of information/data
- Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project
- Identifies deviations in the project plan, identifies issues and leads the efforts to bring to resolution without compromising the original project goals, budget and timing; Ensures project parameters meet the agreed-upon needs and expectations
- Forecasts project resources, materials and contracts costs within standard tools; Analyzes policies and procedures and provides next step recommendations as needed
- Assesses project risk and develops contingency plans, identifies and communicates lessons learned and best practices; Follows effective project governance and reporting, in-line with SCE's project management standards in order to steward ongoing assigned projects
- Maintains progress reports, conducts change impact assessments, and uses project management tools; Maintains a system to measure the effectiveness of the project development process
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, information technology, or related field
- Experience identifying business needs and developing business requirements for systems and processes
- Experience with customer-facing activities, projects or processes that directly impact customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with regulatory or compliance driven environments
- Knowledge of customer rate design, pricing programs, or energy related topics
- Experience using results from data and metrics to inform project design and features
- Experience in responding to regulatory requests in writing, i.e. data requests
- A track record working across teams to drive alignment and deliver results
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence internally and externally, both verbally and in writing
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
