Become Senior Advisor, Meter Socket Adapter Program at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll lead the Meter Socket Adapter (MSA) Program, which streamlines the connection of customer-owned renewable energy systems, such as solar panels and batteries, to the electric grid by enabling safe, efficient, and cost-effective installation or removal of MSAs without modifying existing residential electrical panels. Focused on supporting a sustainable energy future, the program expands access to approved technologies, improves operational efficiency, and enhances customer experience through a simplified online application process and technician-led installations. As the program rapidly scales to meet growing demand, ongoing improvements are made to processes, systems, and communications to ensure successful installations and customer satisfaction.
As a Senior Advisor for the MSA Program, your leadership will help accelerate the adoption of renewable energy by streamlining safe, efficient, and cost-effective grid connections for customers. You’ll drive innovative solutions by leading technology pilots, guide cross-functional teams, manage application processes and shape program policy to support a cleaner, more resilient energy future. Responsibilities
- Drives strategy and execution of energy efficiency and demand response programs to optimize energy usage during peak periods
- Provides expert guidance to leadership on program events and conservation targets
- Performs highly complex analysis of energy usage data, load patterns, and grid conditions to identify and maximize program opportunities
- Develops partnerships across functions like operations, customer service, and marketing to successfully implement program requirements
- Implements compliance strategy and regulatory requirements related to program implementation
- Evaluates program cost effectiveness and spearheads efforts to identify and implement program enhancements
- Acts as a subject matter expert on all program related topics with external stakeholders like regulatory agencies and industry groups
- Stays current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to program implementation
- Identifies and secures funding and resources to advance program related initiatives
- Develops and implements training programs to build organizational capabilities
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience working with demand response principles, customer programs, or conservation/efficiency initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical and operational challenges.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and processes with significant financial and operational impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence decisions and drive alignment across teams.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions and process improvements in a rapidly scaling program.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, tariffs, and compliance related to distributed energy resources.
- Experience working with customer-facing programs and improving customer experience.
- Familiarity with vendor management and technology onboarding processes.
- Expertise in renewable energy integration, grid interconnection standards, and utility operations.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
