In this job, you’ll have ultimate accountability over the success of both the regulatory and operational compliance functions by building team capabilities and expectations, assigning evolving responsibilities to relevant team members, and examining deliverables and processes across span. The Senior Manager of Energy Efficiency Compliance & Quality will perform continuous and rigorous risk assessments and evaluations of controls to understand potential roadblocks and may become actively involved in daily operations when required to meet timelines or resolve complex and escalated problems. Work will require a high capacity to collaborate across cross functional teams, proficient knowledge of compliance frameworks, principles, and best practices, and strong attention to detail. Work will require high-levels of cross-functional collaboration, extremely strong attention to detail and planning ability, and a strong technical proficiency in understanding various EE processes to identify compliance gaps. Responsibilities
- Maintains relationships with key players within the energy sector, including policy makers, regulatory agencies, and industry participants
- Develops and integrates appropriate regulatory controls within systems and processes
- Manages and oversees a list of contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements
- Represents the organization's best interest through input to consultation processes
- Builds relationships with relevant regulators, energy infrastructure operators, exchanges and relevant counterparties through active participation in consultation processes, regulatory enquiries and industry forums
- Oversees regulatory compliance, administration, tariffs, and terms and conditions of service
- Develops and implements regulatory strategies and policies that support business strategies
- Manages and engages with relevant agencies and participates in policymaking processes
- Manages external counsel and consultants as necessary to achieve policy objectives aligned to the company's objectives
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience with regulatory filings, proceedings, compliance, administration, tariffs, and/or terms and conditions of service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications like Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), etc.
- Two or more years of experience with Utility Customer Programs.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
