In this job, you’ll run the daily technical process of SCE’s two key bill delivery channels used by our large commercial customers and champion paperless growth by shifting customers from paper to paperless bills creating operational effectiveness for both SCE and our customers. Responsibilities
- Carries out various billing transactions and analysis in order to resolve billing exceptions for our customers
- Executes the review and analysis of customers' accounts to determine issue paths of failed billing automation
- Collaborates directly with various internal departments and personnel to resolve billing issues in a timely and high-quality manner in order to address customer concerns, thereby having a direct impact on customer satisfaction
- Executes the follow up of missed billing and payment tasks received from daily queues, spreadsheets, SAP, reports, email inboxes as well as databases; Utilize various systems (including SAP, IEE, Microsoft Office) and tools to conduct analysis in order to resolve billing exceptions
- Participates in complex billing investigations as well as resolves minor cases, leading subsequent analysis of accounts involving a variety of billing issues or complaint resolution using independent discernment and initiative
- Coordinates with upstream process owners to generate invoices, debit notes, credit notes. Looks for process improvement opportunities to gain efficiencies and streamline processes
- Ensures detailed records of billing information and payment transactions
- Generates regular reports to monitor billing activities and identify trends or areas for improvement
- Reviews billing data for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Performs various billing transactions and analysis in order to resolve billing exceptions for our customers
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience analyzing and interpreting customer billing data and resolving various customer problems.
- Experience using billing, accounting, and/or financial systems to resolve billing exceptions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar
- Experience in MS Office programs, specifically, Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio and SharePoint
- Experience in major customer bill delivery products such as EDI, eSummary or similar delivery channels.
- Experience with creating and monitoring metrics
- Experience creating and presenting materials to a varied audience.
- Experience interfacing and collaborating with internal and externals stakeholders including: IT engineers, account managers, billing, marketing, law, regulatory operations, third party external vendors, etc.
- Experience making product/process recommendations for improvements and augmentations to improve the operation and customer experience and executing for results.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
