Responsibilities
- Provides regular updates on Distribution or Transmission construction work scopes, working with contractors to deliver a quality product that meets project timelines and requirements; validates service and time confirmations, unit priced tasking, and field change orders
- Monitors contract crews for safe and productive work practices, adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all operations; provides field support and contractor oversight in emergent or escalated situations
- Reviews, authorizes, validates, and tracks construction work orders and project scope, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner and resources are utilized properly
- Interfaces with customers on outage notifications and construction site activities; manages, facilitates, and escalates customer concerns in the field
- Manages project scope on the field level and validates accuracy of contractor invoices and confirmation documents
- Inspects construction work for safety and quality and conducts root cause analysis on construction failures
- Executes Scopes of Work (SOWs) in alignment with applicable business objectives and company procedures; validates field change orders (FCO's) as needed by the RCM and performs FMP360 gatekeeping
- Oversees contractors/suppliers during construction and ensures warranty work corrections are completed, addressing any issues that arise through the implementation of corrective actions
- Oversees contractor work plans for overall Distribution or Transmission construction as detailed in the COSP, safety manuals, and/or other safety documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinates detailed constructability reviews on clearances, guying, anchoring, and documentation; supervises switching orders, clearance procedures and outage notification processes by contractors
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years of combined experience performing/supervising planning, design, construction, maintenance, standards & development, system operations, field operations, engineering, or construction project management.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years as a qualified electrical worker.
- Experience with regulatory requirements related to construction and maintenance of electrical systems (GO 165, 128 and 95).
- Experience with the technical and commercial aspects of contract management.
- Experience in applying environmental health and safety compliance and material management requirements.
- Experience with contractor project store (CPS) and contractor satellite staging area (CSSA) requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a general knowledge of SAP.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
