In this job, you’ll support inspection programs with a primary focus on Aerial Transmission and Centralized Gatekeeping as well as assisting Transmission 360, Distribution 360, compliance ground inspections, and notifications generated from these programs. This role provides operational, technical, training, data analysis, and quality review support.   The successful candidate will help and in certain cases lead inspection quality, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and effective adoption of tools and workflows. Through this work, the position helps SCE build a better tomorrow by strengthening inspection reliability, supporting safer operations, as well as reducing risk through inspections.

  • Analyzes business operations to identify areas for improvement and to develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Improves the delivery of analytical support to an Operating Unit and/or the enterprise, enhancing the collection, analysis and reporting of data, which enables successful completion of key business operations projects.
  • Provides advice to stakeholders, presenting analytical findings and making recommendations as to their impact on business operations.
  • Identifies and improves operational processes and procedures, from maintenance to development of reporting dashboards, to streamline business practice and improve efficiency.
  • Collects and analyzes data in order to present findings and make recommendations.
  • Develops models to help inform decision-making on emerging technology investments.
  • Improves the development of business plan scenarios to evaluate different priorities and potential options to achieving the operating unit and/or enterprise objectives.
  • Verifies that established processes are aligned with relevant rules, principles, laws, and industry standards with the goal to safeguard assets, minimize errors, and ensure operational activities are performed to mitigate risk.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in business operations analysis.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a safety‑conscious work environment.
  • Advanced experience with inspections, including Overhead Detailed Inspections and Aerial Transmission Inspections.
  • Experience supporting technical projects related to new standards, inspection questions, and emergent initiatives.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience organizing, leading, or supporting cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, procedures, and ways of working in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Proficient in SAP and SAS creating notifications, retrieving data, as well as intaking and filtering large amounts of data generated in SAP.
  • Knowledge/experience with Transmission and Distribution (T&D) E1 Notifications lifecycle, notifications, and remediation criteria, and/or California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) General Orders 95, 128 and 165 requirements.
  • Experience with making timely, sound decision with little guidance
  • General construction knowledge of Transmission and Distribution.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI and GIS systems

 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
