Become a Business Transformation & Readiness - Next Generation ERP Training, Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the effective and timely management and execution of critical training strategies and work products to help drive programmatic success and optimize team performance. This includes supporting technical, administrative, and logistical aspects of end user training. For example, including development and execution of program team enablement and end user training activities, such as the Training Command Center, Train the Trainer and Super User programs, training material and pilots, schedule and logistics, communications, effectiveness metrics, environments, and learning management system (LMS) administration.
This role is essential to support the delivery of an effective training program that helps ensure our program, operational, and business partners enterprise-wide are trained and equipped with the knowledge and skills to successfully perform and adopt the new technologies and process changes of the NextGen ERP program.
The NextGen ERP program will spans the next several years leveraging emerging digital solutions in concert with re-imagining and transforming our current processes and organization to make dramatic improvements to operational performance, as many companies are doing across industries. We are looking at an approach that not only upgrades the systems, but also transforms our business processes to enhance efficiency, improve data quality, and provide better integrated decision making across the enterprise. We are currently in the implementation phase of a major ERP transformation program, leveraging a hybrid agile approach to motivate change. This effort goes beyond a system upgrade – it’s a fundamental redesign of our core processes. Our goal is to streamline operations, enhance data accuracy, and enable integrated, enterprise-wide decision-making. Responsibilities

Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to provide support for key decisions and to secure buy-in for fit-to-standard and custom solutions developed to meet business needs.

Assists cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of business operations software and systems ensuring that business requirements are met for assigned business process area.

Supports simplementation workshops and other forums to gather, synthesize, and validate information, ensuring a robust understanding of existing business processes and requirements.

Conducts thorough evaluations during the implementation phase to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in current procedures.

Challenges the status quo, support transformational change, and recommend practical solutions that align with implementation goals.

Analyzes and synthesizes data and process flows, incorporating best practices to support the implementation strategy. Supports informed recommendations or decisions based on this analysis, and present key findings to stakeholders.

Assists in design and document future state business processes and requirements that align with the new system capabilities.

Collaborates with technical team experts to enhance processes, including performing comprehensive user integration testing. Provides functional guidance and supervision to analysts.

Builds relationships and interact with peers, managers, system integration (SI) partners, directors, and all levels of leadership to achieve implementation objectives.

Prepare and deliver presentations and support other work activities that align with project milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

Five or more years of business operations and/or transformation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or supporting training functions, which may include training development, instructional design, training delivery, and/or learning technologies and models such as ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, or Enable Now.
- Experience leading or supporting major business transformations or large-scale projects, preferably those involving cross-functional teams, cross organizational business processes, and/or a hybrid agile/waterfall approach, (e.g. SAP ERP, S/4 HANA ERP full lifecycle implementations).
- Exceptional collaboration, written and verbal communication, negotiation and influence skills to quickly build trust and engender buy-in from diverse groups.
- Experience supporting and recommending courses of action on deliverables, process improvements, operational plans or strategies, often to Senior Management or Executive audiences.
- Project Management experience or certification, including ability to manage scope, timeline, risk, quality, recommend training objectives, prioritize critical tasks, establish and oversee key milestones.
- Experience with organizational readiness tasks, such as training, technical and operational user readiness, or overall business readiness for successful deployment and post-deployment/hypercare.
- Proven change agent and innovative thinker with ability to influence change (e.g. identify innovative training techniques to help promote successful user adoption through use of Gen AI and org readiness methodologies).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, organizational development, organizational leadership, training, or other related field.
- Five or more years of experience and proficiency with MS Office 360 applications, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
- The primary work location for this position is Pomona PIV2. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at various locations throughout the SCE territory.
- Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
