You will act as the single point of contact between SCE and assigned design vendor(s), ensuring compliance with contract terms and company policies. You will ensure billing accuracy and contract alignment, oversee invoice processing, and resolve vendor issues to maintain operational efficiency. Your role will include collaborating with internal teams to interpret contract requirements, supporting financial processes such as accruals and audits, and leveraging tools like SAP, Ariba, and Excel to validate billing and maintain accurate data. Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with contract terms, company policies, and applicable regulations to uphold contractual and payment agreements between SCE and vendors.
  • Serves as the primary liaison for assigned vendor(s) on all design-related matters, including contract oversight, invoice processing, and issue resolution.
  • Partners with Supply Management to interpret contract terms and confirm adherence to requirements.
  • Processes and analyzes invoices daily, verifying accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contractual terms and authorized purchase orders.
  • Executes quarterly accruals to capture completed but unbilled work for accurate fiscal reporting.
  • Utilizes systems such as SAP, Ariba, Excel, and Design Manager to research and validate billing information.
  • Maintains accurate contract data and prepare reports within SCE's internal systems.
  • Leads or participates in cross-functional initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Resolves vendor issues related to system access, contractual inquiries, billing discrepancies, and change orders, while providing guidance on process updates and communicating company or design changes to prevent recurring challenges.
  • Communicates regularly with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on assigned work and projects.
  • Addresses quality control issues promptly, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to correct errors and maintain standards.
  • Supports audit requests and ensure timely, accurate payments to contractors.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in contract administration.
  • Experience in contract management and interpretation of contract terms/conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience in a Designer or Planner role within electric utility or related industries.
  • Prior experience in utility contract administration or vendor management.
  • Proficiency with vendor management and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
  • Familiarity with design-related tools such as Design Manager and SAP.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and other document management platforms.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
