Responsibilities

  • Configures, monitors and analyzes information and data systems and assets
  • Formulates techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
  • Ensures that data usage and management protocols are within license requirements and legal and company standards
  • Creates and maintains documentation describing data catalog and data objects
  • Automates and optimizes data pipelines and frameworks for a more efficient Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process
  • Supports assembling large data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Assists in QA efforts by providing input for test cases and supporting test case execution
  • Participates in troubleshooting and resolving data integration issues to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Creates visualizations and tools to provide insight, drive action, and support work throughout the business
  • Design and develop Data-as-a-Service solutions to improve data consumption
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics/ Mathematics or equivalent STEM major
  • Three or more years of experience in data processing large data sets, hands-on with data transformation, aggregation, and filtering.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in writing queries using SQL, PROC SQL or PL/SQL
  • Two or more years of using Python and/or R for data manipulation and integration.
  • Experience in creating dashboards and visual reporting using Power BI, SAS Viya, Tableau
  • Knowledge of relational database systems and concepts
  • Experience with SAP HANA, SAS EG
  • Experience in creating ETL workflows.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation
  • Exposure to OLAP systems such as Snowflake or GCP
  • Experience with C#, Visual Basic, VBA, batch scripting, Java is a plus.

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days, with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
