You will play a critical role in bridging business use cases across grid planning, operations, asset management, and work management, with scalable technical solutions - accelerating the deployment of digital twin platforms and applications that enable a reliable, efficient, and autonomous adaptive grid. This position serves as a strategic connector from business use cases development to execution, ensuring that sensor and data infrastructure, along with digital twin technologies, align with and supports SCE’s long-term grid transformation goals. Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide Grid Modernization’s investment tower strategy and annual release/scope planning , including capability prioritization, conducting capability workshops with all applicable Business Product Owners/Leads/SMEs, and project managing capability milestones
  • Participates in developing strategy and refreshes 5-year strategic capability roadmaps, 3-year execution plans, and 1-year scope/schedule/cost baselines for the investment towers within the Grid Modernization program
  • Manages the change control process and supports Grid Modernization regulatory activities/data request
  • Leads the integration across groups to ensure effective execution and implementation of the Grid Modernization investment tower planned capabilities, aligning with the General
  • Rate Case (GRC) and10-year Grid Modernization Plan (GMP)
  • Maintains Grid Modernization's tower deployment performance and helps to develop and enhance Grid Modernization's benefit-cost analysis for the equipment/tool execution strategy
  • Develops and guides the Grid Modernization's investment capability strategy and annual release planning process across workstreams
  • Leads the technology/device readiness process, from assessment and capability planning to applicable small-scale pilots, to full deployment, for the Grid Modernization program
  • Manage the financial performance of the Grid Modernization investments and lead/coordinate applicable annual operational plans development
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience supporting grid modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with capability roadmaps, execution plans, and scope/schedule/cost baselines.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with digital twin platforms and simulation tools
  • Expertise in data analytics, including real-time telemetry integration and data governance
  • Proven experience in sensor architecture and deployment for grid systems
  • Experience translating strategic goals, roadmaps into actionable and scalable technical solutions
  • Experience developing and operationalizing AI/ML models within utility or grid environments
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong understanding of grid planning and operations, including DER integration and grid edge technologies
  • Experience translating complex technical capabilities into measurable business value and strategic outcomes

 

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
