Become a Land Management, Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert for real estate agreements such as licenses and leases, clearing SCE right-of-ways of encroachments, reviewing proposed 3rd party plans for compatibility of use within SCE's right-of-way, and acquiring temporary and permanent land rights for SCE projects and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining accurate records of existing land rights, easements, and property information within the land management database.
  • Prepares basic land agreements, forms, and general correspondence related to existing property use using established templates.
  • Conducts basic research on current property records, gathers data related to current land use, and assists with initial field visits to document site conditions within existing corridors.
  • Supports the preparation of routine reports and presentations.
  • Monitors for and reports minor, clearly identifiable encroachments or simple compliance issues on company property.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience performing right of way or real property transactions and real estate acquisitions.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active notary license
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering plans
  • Experience managing licenses and lease agreements
  • Experience overseeing contractors and managing project budgets

 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • The primary work location for this position is Pomona, CA (Pomona Innovation Village). However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at alternate work location.
  • Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
  • Relocation does not apply to this position.
