Become a Manager of Right of Way & Substation Land Acquisition at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll manage the organization that acquires land and land rights for Southern California Edison's (SCE) transmission and substation projects throughout a 50,000 square mile service territory. You will provide expertise and interface with internal SCE project teams as well as third party customers on land rights requirements for renewable interconnection and large electric service projects. Projects have the scale of requiring a few easements or fee acquisitions to hundreds of property acquisitions.

Responsibilities
- Manages the daily operations of a team responsible for the acquisition of land and land rights for utility projects, ensuring timely execution of tasks and adherence to process.
- Directs team activities related to preparing land agreements, conducting appraisals, and negotiating with private owners, agencies, railroads, and federal/state entities.
- Oversees the preparation and submission of work requests and applications to federal/state agencies and railroads, ensuring compliance with NEPA/CEQA guidelines.
- Serves as the first point of escalation for complex project issues; ensures the team conducts thorough rights checks, consults with the Law Department when necessary, and defines required land rights accurately.
- Attends internal project team meetings and ensures that assigned staff provide effective consultation to internal customers, managing acquisition schedules and tracking budgets at a project level.
- Hires, trains, mentors, and manages the performance of team members, ensuring all land rights information is accurately documented, tracked, and archived.
- Secure and manage contractor purchase orders and work delivery.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising right of way or real property transactions and real estate acquisitions.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience negotiating and acquiring easements and fee property for utility rights of way corridors.
- Knowledge of California real estate development requirements.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Pomona, CA (Pomona Innovation Village). However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time throughout the SCE service territory.
- Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
