Become an Operational Governance Support Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will provide oversight and leadership, including the day-to-day supervision of direct reports, within the T&D Governance and Provisioning organization. The Manager is expected to facilitate special assignments and projects whose outcomes are time sensitive, resource intense, high value client focused, and technical. This position will partner with team members across SCE (typically at the senior management and executive levels) to facilitate workforce planning and other organizational unit governance processes and solutions. Act as their key contact to manage change and resolve both complex functional and broad business issues related to T&D governance, staffing, and provisioning capabilities. Work with various departments, processes, systems, and information to develop recommendations and support the implementation of improvements and maintain data integrity. You will also provide business and technical expertise to support maintenance of T&D’s people, process, compliance, and access management repository.

Responsibilities

  • Develops tools focusing on data analytics and data loss prevention monitoring, supporting implementation of various enterprise controls and administering tools
  • Leads the development of critical cross-departmental and organizational processes and procedures to accomplish strategic and operational information governance objectives
  • Drives process changes and employee training identified through continuous improvement activities to improve data quality and organizational efficiency
  • Leads enterprise content management including centralization of critical records and life cycle management
  • Implements policies, procedures, standards and governance for enterprise tools
  • Develops and executes programs to address information governance objectives including reviews related to records of critical company operations and others that affect safety, reliability of critical operations, regulatory compliance, finances, and company reputation
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
  • Develops an enterprise resource plan (ERP) data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities
  • Develops and maintains a suitable monitoring and reporting approach to prevent data loss and measure progress against defined goals and targets, communicates the value of the Information Governance framework implementation to wider stakeholders
  • Manages and oversees the development and delivery of Information Governance training organization-wide
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising information governance and data management practices and processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Transmission & Distribution business functions.
  • Experience with Staffing, onboarding, or provisioning.
  • Experience with budgeting or workforce planning as part of a larger operational planning process.
  • Experience completing multiple projects/assignments concurrently while adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Experience interfacing and collaborating with clients, vendors, peers, management, and other departments.
  • Demonstrated experience with Erwin/Casewise/Evolve solution suite or using other relational databases to perform complex tasks and assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience with process design and complex analytics.
  • Experience leading a team through change management activities within complex improvement projects.

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
