We are seeking a delivery-focused Senior Manager to lead the Data Transformation workstream for Southern California Edison’s NextGen ERP Program. This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide data readiness, quality, conversion, and governance across multiple domains including Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, and Procurement. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP data architecture, master data governance, and transformation strategy to ensure high-quality data that enables business operations and analytics post-deployment. 

 

Key Focus Areas: 

Data Profiling, Cleansing & Cataloging 

  • Lead automated data profiling and cleansing across Asset Management, Finance, Procurement, and SCM. 
  • Partner with organizational units to define data quality rules, thresholds, and remediation strategies. 
  • Partner with organizational units to develop and maintain enterprise data catalog, business glossary, and technical data dictionary. 

Data Conversion 

  • Drive end-to-end data conversion strategy and execution. 
  • Manage critical data elements, metadata repositories, ETL processes, and data quality dashboards. 
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive data in compliance with regulatory standards. 

Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) 

  • Lead SAP MDG implementation across EAM, SCM, Finance, and LAM domains. 
  • Define business rules, security models, and integration with S/4HANA and non-SAP systems. 
  • Enable mass processing, automation, and operational support models. 

Data Archiving 

  • Develop and execute enterprise data archiving strategy. 
  • Oversee SAP ILM and OpenText integration and ensure compliance with data retention policies. 
  • Manage technical architecture, tooling, and post-cutover support. 

Strategic Program & Project Management 

  • Manage the full lifecycle of data transformation initiatives, from planning through deployment and stabilization. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams including data architects, engineers, and program managers. 
  • Drive Agile practices and ensure delivery of business outcomes aligned with transformation goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Develops long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the project management competency
  • Cultivates relationships with business partners and vendors to achieve operational excellence
  • Drive adoption of innovative project management methodologies and approaches
  • Directs project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources to advance key initiatives
  • Enhances program increment planning, dependency management, and synchronization of Agile release trains
  • Promotes collaboration between project teams to share knowledge, reuse code, align architecture, and standardize processes
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to project managers on Agile principles, removing impediments, and evolving practices
  • Drives initiatives to improve team velocity trends, defect rates, and sprint burndown metrics to mitigate risk
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
  • Experience developing long-term vision and strategic roadmaps for IT projects.
  • Experienced in technical leadership of project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data transformation, data migration, or enterprise data architecture in a large-scale SAP ERP program. 
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP project management leadership, with proven track record of managing complex cutover planning and execution activities for large-scale implementations.  
  • Deep understanding of ITIL, change management, and deployment best practices with prior experience with RISE with SAP, SAP Activate methodology, or cloud-based S/4HANA deployments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points, implementation lifecycles, cutover planning, and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure go-live environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 

 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
