Responsibilities
- Plays critical role in aligning performance metrics with organizational goals and ensuring the resilience of business operations
- Identify areas for performance improvement based on data analysis and insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies, initiatives, and process improvements that drive efficiency, productivity, and cost savings; monitor the impact of these interventions and make adjustments as needed
- Assess and monitor risks that may impact business performance; identify potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure that risks are effectively managed; provide recommendations for improving resilience and addressing emerging risks
- Collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure that performance metrics are aligned with strategic objectives; facilitate discussions, workshops, and presentations to communicate performance results, share insights, and gain buy-in for performance improvement initiatives
- Continuously evaluate and refine performance management processes and methodologies.
- Stays up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies; lead benchmarking exercises to compare performance against industry peers and identify areas for improvement
- Lead and support organizational change initiatives, offering insights into their impact on performance metrics; collaborate with senior executives and other key stakeholders to align performance metrics with strategic goals; analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Lead a high-performing team to drive strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and enhance overall business performance
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Five or more years combined experience performing or leading Business Performance Management function.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience developing and executing strategic roadmaps, leading benchmarking initiatives, and experience in developing, managing and reporting performance metrics and targets, preferably within a utility.
- Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments; experience guiding teams through organizational change and driving process improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach—including proficiency in building tools (e.g., Excel models) and delivering under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated success in leading cost optimization efforts, standardizing processes, and deploying analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI) across teams.
- Track record of effective collaboration and negotiation with senior leadership (VPs, Directors) and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
