Responsibilities

  • Administers day-to-day compliance activities, ensuring consistent execution of cybersecurity controls and audit readiness.
  • Creates, revises, and maintains high quality written process documents, methods of procedure, knowledge base articles, flowcharts.
  • Identifies, assesses, manages and communicates risks to ensure they are effectively mitigated and remediated in alignment with regulatory compliance and cybersecurity standards.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventories for OT assets, systems, and established baselines. Lead and designs configuration reviews, patch validation, and system hardening activities across OT environments.
  • Oversees the compliance asset lifecycle management process, encompassing installation, ongoing maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Leads in rollouts of threat and vulnerability management solutions, documentation, testing, and validation of deployed scanning solutions to ensure effective identification and management of security vulnerabilities.
  • Lead, develop and deliver comprehensive compliance and security training to operational personnel to cultivate a culture of security awareness, emphasizing operational risk reduction and compliance adherence.
  • Identifies and leads remediation and improvements of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Upholds existing and develops new cybersecurity and compliance processes and procedures.
  • Prepares, monitors and communicates reports and action plans in the event of a non-compliance event or security breach.
  • Provides direct support to security and compliance teams by leading tasks of medium and high complexity for projects of various sizes and scopes as assigned by leadership.
  • The material job duty of all positions within the Company is to ensure the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly access and manage proprietary information, confidential records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in Operational Technology security compliance, Information Technology security compliance, Cybersecurity, and/or Regulatory Compliance.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Federal or State regulatory compliance programs like ISO, NERC/FERC, CPUC, and related entities.
  • Experience with Substation relay system, operations, and schematics.
  • Certifications in CompTIA Security+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance data and reports.
  • Effective analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with querying tools like SAS Base or SAS Enterprise Guide.

 

 

 

Additional Information 

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.  Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
