Become DCP Design/Drafting Associate Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the Planning organization by transforming system needs and customer requirements into clear, accurate, and constructible work order packages.  Also, you will collaborate closely with Senior Planners and Planning Advisors to develop new electrical designs, revise existing infrastructure layouts, and ensure all work adheres to SCE standards, engineering guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Add Broad knowledge of drafting and design practices, related engineering practices, applicable specifications, standards, codes, materials, and equipment necessary to perform routine to moderately complex design assignments for design contract planning office.
• Innovation and problem solving; designers are to contribute to innovative solutions such as modernizing and supporting electric grid.
• Taking initiative and accountability for the accuracy of quality infrastructure designs
• Performs routine to moderately complex design assignments.
• Review redlines corrections while ensure accuracy for scope of work.
• Compliance with safety and regulatory standards such as ensure all plans adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations
• Experience working in AUD, DM, SAP, Microsoft Suite.  

Additional Information 

• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

• The primary work location for this position is Rialto, CA.  
• Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. 
• This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
• Relocation does not apply to this position.
