In this role, you’ll work as part of the Accounts Payable (AP), Invoicing Operations group and the broader AP team to apply your knowledge, skills and abilities to perform general accounting functions necessary to research, analyze, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies associated with processing supplier invoices in accordance with established policies, processes and procedures. You will also collaborate across teams across the company to drive cross-functional success. Responsibilities

  • Utilizes various electronic and non-electronic invoicing platforms to ensure vendor invoices are processed for accurate/timely payment.
  • Reviews invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to resolve moderate to complex invoice exceptions prior to posting invoices for payment.
  • Performs account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Participates in month-end and year-end close procedures and ensures all transactions are recorded timely. Reviews and resolves tax exceptions.
  • Maintains records of outstanding payables.
  • Prepares and distributes reports for monitoring and tracking of key performance indicators and other operational activities.
  • Reviews and identifies discrepancies based on vendor provided statements. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Investigates and escalates issues associated with invoices and communicates as appropriate.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in accounts payable.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of related Company policies and procedures, basic accounting principles, on-line systems, and personal computer software programs, including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Experience handling invoices delivered and/or processed using the Ariba network
  • Experience responding to customers/clients
  • Experience using MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
