Responsibilities
- Supports a strategy relative to improving the claims resolution function efficiency which correlates with the overall strategy of the organization.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and information relative to claims. Helps ensure claims and settlement agreements are handled in a consistent manner.
- Develops and maintains proficiency with claim systems and databases.
- Helps coordinate investigations into claims and reviews the claimants' materials, documents, reports, etc.
- Maintains a diary of all claims, post reserves in a timely fashion, and expeditiously responds to claims inquiries.
- Compiles file documentation and correspondence requiring extensive policy and factual detail. Assists in the development, shaping, adherence to, and execution of claims best practices.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in claims resolution, policies, procedures, regulations and applicable laws.
- Experience coordinating investigations into claims and reviewing supporting materials, documents and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong administrative and coordination experience.
- Experience involving insurance carriers, including claims evaluation, settlement negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Experience with investigation and recovery.
- Ability to utilize and leverage new and evolving technologies into the role.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
