As a Compliance App Developer in the utility industry, you’ll design and build innovative applications that support regulatory compliance and customer reliability at scale. This role partners closely with business and technology teams to translate complex utility processes into secure, user-friendly digital solutions. Responsibilities

•    Designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, and supports no-code/low-code applications according to specifications and business needs.
•    Monitors application issues and support incidents, performs root cause analysis, identifies recurring problems and process improvement opportunities, and documents findings/recommendations. 
•    Supports the software development lifecycle and associated DevOps/release activities, including release readiness, deployment tasks, and post-launch validation, by following release guidelines and coordinating with senior staff and production support teams.
•    Works with users and stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, documents needs, and helps define acceptance criteria using established templates and guidance.
•    Develops, updates, and supports application components by following defined design patterns, coding standards, and task instructions; completes assigned work within established timelines.
•    Assists with solution design and prototyping by preparing options, impact notes, and supporting analysis for review and direction by senior team members.
•    Executes and documents unit, integration, and functional testing per test plans; reproduces defects, records findings, and escalates issues that require design or priority decisions.
•    Participates in code reviews, addresses assigned review feedback, and helps maintain code quality by adhering to standards and documenting changes.
•    Creates and maintains technical documentation  in accordance with enterprise standards to reflect application behavior and support processes.
•    Updates work items and provides routine status, risk, and dependency updates to the project team; escalates blockers and changes in scope to the appropriate lead.
•    A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in applications development utilizing SDLC and/or DevOps practices.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in coding and/or application development
  • Experienced using MS Power Platform including Model-driven Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate
  • Experience extending low‑code solutions with JavaScript, APIs, or custom connectors
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable applications
  • Experience with troubleshooting systems and documenting results
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Experience working on compliance applications

 

Additional Information 

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
