Become a Senior Advisor for Enterprise Data Management at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll play a key role in advancing AI data readiness by strengthening data quality, enabling consistent data standards, and advancing technology to improve quality, trust and protection of SCE data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Influence Enterprise Data Accountability -Partner with Data Stewards and Data Owners to strengthen ownership, clarify accountability, and mature governance practices—ensuring data is reliable, consistent, and AI-ready.
- Drive Enterprise Standards from Strategy to Execution -Lead the implementation of enterprise data standards by translating governance strategy into scalable processes, enabling technologies, and embedded business practices that drive adoption at scale.
- Operationalize Data Quality & Access Risk Controls - Design and implement monitoring frameworks for data quality and access across high-risk repositories—ensuring data is secure, compliant, and trusted for operational and AI-driven use cases.
- Deliver Actionable Insights to Senior Leadership - Partner with OUs to enhance data quality metrics and reporting, providing leadership with clear visibility into data health, risks, and readiness for analytics and AI initiatives.
- Advance AI Data Readiness & Data Literacy -Drive enterprise awareness and adoption of data best practices, helping teams understand the direct connection between data quality, governance, and AI outcomes—and enabling confident use of data across the organization.
- Lead Enterprise Data Governance Strategy & Roadmap -Shape and execute the Enterprise Data Governance strategy and roadmap, aligning to business and AI priorities, tracking performance, and delivering measurable outcomes toward a future-ready data ecosystem.
- Operate Centers of Excellence -Manage information assets and lead/coordinate routine Data Owner, Data Stewards centers of Excellence across SCE

Responsibilities
- Oversees customer fraud prevention activities, mitigates privacy incidents, and misuses of customer information.
- Develops and reviews information governance policies, standards, presentations, communications and trainings.
- Develops materials for internal and external audits, external assessments and regulatory reporting for the management of company information.
- Oversees and ensures projects align to information governance policies and standards.
- Contributes to product assessments for emerging technology platforms and new service offerings. Provides complex input to strategic business initiatives within the information governance practice.
- Leads the coordination of data quality remediation plans where data fails to meet established Information
- Governance standards.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Information Governance process framework that integrates with guidance, policies and processes.
- Participates in business continuity, policy development and process mapping.
- Leads efforts to ensure the ongoing support and compliance of the corporate records and information management function and the Data Privacy program.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience with information governance and data management practices and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with data quality, information protection, data compliance, and/or data engineering
- Developing Strategic roadmaps and monitoring implementation of these plans
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including Sr. Leadership, Data Owners, Data Stewards, or similar roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in data or library sciences
- Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA), Certified Information Professional (AIIM), or similar certifications
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
