In this job, you’ll provides regional oversight for corporate real estate facilities and capital maintenance projects across an assigned geographic area. This role manages and holds a managed service provider accountable to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective services, ensuring compliance with company policies, building standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include planning and prioritizing capital and preventive maintenance work, monitoring performance against KPIs/SLAs, managing budgets and forecasts, coordinating stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement. Requires facilities management and strong building engineering/operations experience. Responsibilities

  • Influences the design of operational procedures and processes and ensures team members execute their work accordingly.
  • Develops and enforces new initiatives, particularly those designed to improve safety and productivity in the workplace.
  • Collaborates and manages agencies and other third-party external clients for regulatory compliance and leads facility condition assessments, asset planning, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Develops and implements continuous improvement practices, resolution management, and management of key metrics and benchmarks, as well as a facility asset lifecycle plan.
  • Provides departmental leadership by managing and allocating financial resources, developing and monitoring operational and capital maintenance budgets, and balancing day to day operations.
  • Drives the processes and reporting related to the launch and handover of all new facilities, collaborating closely with real estate, legal and development business functions to ensure alignment to company business and property strategy.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in facilities management. Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong building engineering background with hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and critical building systems within a complex portfolio
  • Demonstrated ability to review, develop, and approve building standards, MOPs, SOPs, and commissioning/retro-commissioning practices
  • Proven experience implementing building systems best practices, preventive maintenance programs, and lifecycle asset management strategies
  • Relliability engineering background or training (e.g., RCM, failure analysis, root cause anlaysis) strongly preferred

 

 

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • Position will require up to 60% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.  Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
