A day in the life – Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Leads and facilitates standardized scheduling meetings with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure compliance related items are schedule, performed, documented, and closed out
  • Ensures consistency to SAP Governance and maintenance permissions and master data changes, Functional Location, and equipment updates
  • Manages the initiation, planning, scheduling, execution, and close out (IPSEC) process for work notifications and work orders and identifies improvement opportunities
  • Partners with other organizational units (OU) related to power generation – (Transmission & Distribution, Regulatory, Asset Management, etc.) to ensure jobs are accurately planned for and scheduled
  • Analyzes data to advise decision making (e.g., analyzing actual hours of past jobs to forecast future estimates)
  • Support Work Management maturity initiatives which includes process design, technology utilization, developing training and documentation, and managing internal organizational change management of initiatives
  • Works with stakeholders such as Operations Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, Technicians, Contractors, Vendors, Project Managers
  • Manages database of repetitive maintenance master data and backlog of corrective maintenance items

 

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on streamlining activities through the use of lean maintenance techniques and standardized processes and procedures
  • Administers procurement contracts and documentation in support of outage execution
  • Creates and updates preventive maintenance schedules
  • Ensures work performed by external service providers are in support of objectives, responsibilities, and contractual agreements
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities for consolidating outage work to minimize outage durations and improve productivity
  • Enhances maintenance activities to reduce costs, improve reliability and support safe facility operations
  • Develops and implements continuous improvement ideas on preventative maintenance tasks
  • Defines work methods, activities, resources, materials and logical sequence to execute routine maintenance work
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in short-and long-range maintenance planning, coordination and scheduling of routine and emergency plant outages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven or more years experience managing major/complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of simple cycle, combined cycle, or hydro generation plant equipment and processes
  • Experience with functional level project and equipment specifications and use of value engineering practices to optimize project capital and lifecycle costs
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education/training experience.
  • Experience working with SAP Plant Maintenance Module (PM).
  • Experience working in a power plant environment.

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
