Responsibilities
- Consults on collection and analysis of system requirements, documentation of specifications, and develops software solutions.
- Proactively troubleshoots complex issues in the production environment, identifies and prioritizes risks and ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Participates in the development of high-quality software which meets requirements, promotes re-use of software components and facilitates ease of support.
- Analyses, designs and implements software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and reusability.
- Delivers the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Collaborates with stakeholders, including business analysts and project managers, to gather user feedback and recommend solutions to defects found in software.
- Aids in managing project budgets and timelines in order to ensure projects are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
- Participates in analysis, quality assurance, and control of all development phases.
- Stays current with technology, disseminates knowledge to team members, forms best practices. Recognizes opportunities for refining existing processes and takes proactive measures to implement enhancements to increase efficiency.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in information technology development including System Development Lifecycle models, methodologies, and coding standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Experience developing automated reports and analytics using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
- Programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, SQL, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented languages
- Experience developing dashboards, data visualizations, analytical models, and decision-support tools
- Experience supporting system implementations and post-deployment (hypercare) activities
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and system designs to non-technical audience
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
