Become a IT Procurement Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be leading a team of up to 10 procurement professionals in Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Procurement organization. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing our Operational Procurement IT Team - which includes sourcing IT hardware, software and the development of IT category sourcing plans.
In addition, you will build and deliver long-term strategies and projects to meet Organizational Unit (OU) business partner and operational needs. This includes: Developing overall spend procurement strategy for the group, synthesizing category specific strategies and prioritizing areas for engaging the Strategy Project Manager; developing quarterly, annual and multi-year strategy roadmaps; refreshes based on changing business needs and vendor landscape; setting and delivering overall category savings and vendor management targets; communicates and aligns on strategy and targets with Principal Manager, Director, VP, Ops services; proactively engages OU leadership as a strategic partner; participates in strategic vendor negotiations, relationship management with vendor; participates in (and leads at times) procurement related decision making meetings.

Responsibilities
- Develops and executes sourcing strategies across hardware, software, cloud, and services to align with enterprise technology goals.
- Coaches, mentors, and evaluates direct reports to build capability, improve performance, and support career growth.
- Ensures competitive events (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) are run effectively, documented properly, and aligned with procurement policy.
- Provides support to team for escalated negotiations and commercial analysis to deliver savings, cost avoidance, and value‑based outcomes.
- Manages strategic supplier relationships, leads QBRs, and ensures performance, compliance, and innovation.
- Collaborates with tower leads, architects, and project managers to forecast demand, plan sourcing pipelines, and support technology roadmaps.
- Ensures contracts meet legal, data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
- Tracks savings, RFP volume, contract throughput, and category strategy progress; report results to leadership.
- Recruits, selects, and onboards new team members to support organizational growth.
- Resolves supplier issues, stakeholder conflicts, and project delays with sound judgment and diplomacy.
- Enforces procurement policies, audit readiness, and adherence to sourcing and contracting standards.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance tools, processes, and team capabilities.
- Develops multi‑year category roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Partners with engineering to influence product design for cost and supply resilience.
- Influences senior leaders, aligning priorities, and managing competing interests.
- Leverages AI, automation, and predictive analytics in sourcing.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract negotiations.
- Experience in developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and partnering with IT to meet technology needs.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Experience using SAP software in a purchasing environment, and utilizing Ariba Sourcing, Contracting, and P2P modules.
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, and analyzing information and making strategic decisions regarding scope, impact, policy, development, and implementation.
- CPM, CPSM, CPCM, CCCM, and/or PMP certification(s).
- Experience sourcing IT hardware and software.
- Experience developing multi‑year category roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Experience analyzing budgets, cost modeling and forecasting
- Experience understanding P&L impact, ROI, NPV, and financial health of suppliers as well as greater impact on organization
- Experiece presenting to senior leaders and aligning priorities
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, and predictive analytics in sourcing.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
