As an IT Systems Quality, Senior Advisor, you will act as a key partner to our NextGen transformation, operating as an SAP Security Architect and IAM Architect across SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. You will lead the integration of identity governance, access controls, and enterprise security patterns across SAP, cloud, and IASM platforms, while guiding architectural standards and design decisions to deliver scalable, secure, and audit-ready solutions. Responsibilities
- Monitors, measures, and improves application service delivery to meet business needs, ensuring service level agreements and business expectations for quality and timely resolution for application issues and operational activities are met
- Leads technology evaluation, design, and implementation of infrastructure platforms supporting multiple database platforms, including refresh/upgrades, new feature enablement, and tool acquisition
- Supports the development of best practices and governance for integration of complex systems, ensuring deliverables meet proper standards and requirements traceability
- Oversees Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure that products built are free of flaws, function as designed, follow design standards, and leverage existing and innovative technologies optimally and effectively
- Executes and leads Agile initiatives for projects and enhancements, facilitating collaboration and training with others
- Participates in strategic budget planning and analyzes project budget and multi-year financial projections for ongoing capital and operational costs for large initiatives within the portfolio
- Identifies project scope gaps, makes recommendations, and decides on product design and product readiness for large or company-wide transformation projects that impact project schedule and funding
- Analyzes defect reports, incident trends and other metrics post-implementation to assess application stability/quality to implement engineering service improvement programs based on the feedback loop
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience with IT systems management, software development lifecycle, and infrastructure management.
- Experience supporting Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skills, education and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; relevant security or SAP certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SAP Security)
- Extensive SAP Security experience, including SAP ECC and S/4HANA, with strong expertise in role design, authorizations, and Segregation of Duties (SoD)
- Proven experience operating as an SAP Security Architect or senior technical lead supporting large-scale transformation programs (e.g., S/4HANA, cloud integration, NextGen initiatives)
- Strong experience with modern SAP architectures, including SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Identity Authentication/Provisioning (IAS/IPS), and SuccessFactors
- Understanding of emerging SAP capabilities and trends, including AI-driven use cases (e.g., SAP Joule), data access governance, and analytics-driven authorization models
- Strong background in Identity & Access Management (IAM), including experience with IGA platforms such as SailPoint (IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud) and Okta
- Experience integrating SAP security with enterprise IAM solutions, including provisioning, role governance, RBAC, and access controls across hybrid environments
- Familiarity with modern identity domains, including non-human identities (service accounts, APIs, bots) and advanced identity security capabilities (e.g., AI-driven or agent identity governance, identity security posture management)
- Demonstrated ability to act as a systems thinker, connecting SAP, IAM, cloud, and enterprise platforms into cohesive and scalable security solutions
- Experience leading or influencing multi-year roadmaps, architecture, and capability maturity improvements in IASM programs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architectures) in enterprise environments
- Experience operating in regulated environments, with understanding of audit and compliance expectations (e.g., SOX, NERC CIP)
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
