Become an Investor Relations Financial Analyst at Edison International (EIX) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll work side-by-side with the Vice President and Principal Manager of Investor Relations to analyze financial and market information, develop investor-facing communications, and support engagement with investors and analysts—helping strengthen the investment community’s understanding of EIX and support the company’s long-term value. 

 

Investor Relations helps investors understand EIX’s strategy, financial performance, and long-term outlook while providing senior management with timely insights on market expectations, industry developments, and investor perspectives. The Investor Relations Financial Analyst supports this work by conducting financial and competitive analysis, developing investor-facing materials, owning recurring deliverables, and supporting engagement with investors and analysts.

 

As an Investor Relations Financial Analyst, you’ll turn complex financial, operational, industry, and market information into clear, decision-useful insights and communications for investors, analysts, and senior management. You’ll analyze EIX’s performance relative to peers, monitor market expectations and investor sentiment, own recurring Investor Relations deliverables, and support the company’s engagement with the investment community. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and revises financial analysis and presentations in support of management decision-making and communications.
  • Conducts short and long-term financial modeling, maintains and develops models that can improve the ability to analyze strategic and financial data.
  • Supports the analysis of potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures across the organization.
  • Provides timely, balanced forward looking financial assessments that capture current performance and help enable value optimized operational and financial decisions.
  • Proactively identifies and manages financial risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, proactively raising any concerns.
  • Supports monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgets, including analysis of variances for project, organizational unit, or corporate-wide financial forecasts.
  • Assists in developing forecasting tools to help automate financial data analysis.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in financial planning, modeling and/or forecasting.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or related discipline. 
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong understanding of investor relations, corporate finance, stock valuations, and capital markets. 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.  
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources into clear, concise insights for senior management and external audiences. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge of financial statement analysis. 
  • Ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with ability to work well with management, peers, other departments, and external parties. 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
