Become a Power Marketing Senior Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for SCE’s contract management activities, overseeing a diverse portfolio of executed contracts that deliver energy, capacity, and related services. You will lead a team responsible for administering and optimizing contract performance across a range of resource types, including renewable generation, energy storage, and other emerging technologies, while negotiating amendments as market and regulatory conditions evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the execution of power marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and broader business objectives.
  • Supervises subordinate managers and staff, delegating responsibilities to drive performance and meet project timelines.
  • Guides the structuring of commercial deals, balancing risk, financial viability, and customer needs.
  • Allocates departmental resources, define staffing needs, and recommend organizational structures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Resolves complex issues in daily operations when necessary to maintain progress on critical deliverables and mitigate risks.
  • Administers departmental budgets and performance standards, ensuring cost-effective execution of marketing initiatives and adherence to timelines.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
  • Experience with energy or power marketing.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience overseeing portfolios of energy contracts, including renewables, energy storage, conventional power, combined heat and power, or natural gas.
  • Demonstrated leadership of contract amendment negotiations and commercial restructurings driven by market, regulatory, and operational changes.
  • Proven ability to lead analysis of complex financial, regulatory, and business issues and translate insights into strategic decisions.
  • Experience developing and executing strategies in complex, multi stakeholder, and competitive environments.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, including managing professional staff, setting performance expectations, and developing talent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive, regulatory, and cross functional audiences.
  • Strong judgment, ethics, leadership presence, and the ability to influence outcomes while managing risk and operating effectively under pressure.

 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
