Become a Procurement/Sourcing Senior Business Systems Analyst at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and the NextGen divisions providing hands‑on support for operational procurement processes, support testing and validation, and assist with hypercare readiness and post‑deployment stabilization. You will also collaborate with team members as frontline support for end users of operational procurement platforms, and support for supplier onboarding, transaction troubleshooting, and data corrections as needed. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with departments across SCE to ensure strategic alignment and execution. Success in this role depends on strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to influence outcomes and build effective partnerships across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and defines current operational business procedures in supply chain systems and data management.
  • Monitors and analyzes supplier performance goals related to cost, quality, and service.
  • Conducts analysis to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and capabilities, derive models, strategies and processes to improve the business.
  • Administers training on the procurement systems and provide spend analysis to support category teams' strategy planning.
  • Maintains and enhances key functionalities of Procurement systems including master data, user access management, contract and sourcing project template maintenance.
  • Provides system implementation support such as reviewing functional specifications and application design documents for accuracy ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Facilitates analysis, data sampling, data audit and assessment to produce performance reports.
  • Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in procurement systems, standards, regulations, procedures, and compliance.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience leading, coordinating, and/or facilitating cross-organizational teams to address and solve business issues and problems
  • Experience as functional support with systems and functional areas including systems & functional areas to include SAP Ariba, SCC Guided Buying & Invoicing, Fieldglass (SOW, Contingent Workforce) Rentals, CWC
  • Experience working with business processes and platforms within a Procurement organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience interfacing and collaborating with executive and senior management, peers, departments, and external parties to develop solutions and ensure consensus
  • Experience implementing and enhancing procurement tools, strategies, and continuous improvement opportunities

 

Additional Information 

  • PROJECT REGULAR: This is a full-time project regular positon for an estimated duration of 24 months.  This position is eligible for company benefits and incentives during the duration of the assignment.

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
