Become a Senior Advisor, Strategic Planning at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be responsible for leading key components of the annual strategic planning process, helping shape how an electric utility serving about 15 million people navigates a period of rapid growth and transformation. In this highly visible role, you will be driving enterprise strategic initiatives from ideation to implementation with partners across SCE’s business areas and will be responsible for preparing the analysis and materials for these topics for Board-level corporate strategy discussions. You will tackle complex questions at the intersection of clean energy, affordability, reliability, resilience, technology and public policy.

Responsibilities
- Performs scenario analysis and enhanced analytics to assist management in understanding the economic impacts of business decisions.
- Identifies and develops innovative cost savings projects and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply.
- Ensures that the financial modelling and sales forecasts are aligned with market and maintain reasonable margins.
- Formulates strategies alongside the business development team to diversify in new complementary markets and products.
- Develops and continuously optimizes the organizational structure and efficient business processes. Undertakes strategic analysis of markets and competition, developing conceptual frameworks and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify new growth opportunities.
- Analyzes and engages with strategic acquisition targets and works with the appropriate stakeholders to evaluate fit and strategic merit.
- Leverages insights to support strategic recommendations for the company, with guidance from project leads. Leads financing and risk assessment efforts for growth opportunities covering joint ventures and acquisitions for energy infrastructure projects.
- Leads analysis, valuation, diligence, and integration for all transactions.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in strategy and/or management consulting, venture capital, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience driving strategic initiatives through implementation within large and complex organizations.
- Understanding of the unique business and regulatory model of investor-owned utilities.
- Willingness to challenge traditional approaches and assumptions to provide fresh strategic perspectives.
- Demonstrated growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Motivated by creating lasting organizational impact and advancing strategic priorities that benefit the broader enterprise.
- MBA or similar graduate-level education.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work
