In this job, you’ll lead strategic initiatives to optimize software asset management purchases and sourcing of IT services. In this role, you will Negotiate software agreements and sourcing contracts for IT services, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with financial and performance goal. This role combines deep expertise in software procurement, vendor negotiations, and process improvement to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives. You will be part of a small group that is part of the Service & Software Management team, reporting to the Principal Manager, Process & Asset Integration. Responsibilities
- Leads technology refresh processes by maintaining the inventory of IT assets and refreshing the assets on a regular basis
- Maintains the asset management database, and maintains and develops the asset disposal process
- Develops requirements, evaluates, and selects tools for optimal performance, return-on-investment, and relevancy
- Provides management and tracking of status reports, analysis and metrics on assets events, trends, and concerns
- Maintains technology asset lifecycle policies and practices
- Coordinates with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate contracts, pricing, and licensing agreements for IT assets
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper configuration, maintenance, and security of assets throughout their lifecycle
- Monitors and enforces software license compliance and ensure adherence to licensing terms and conditions
- Ensures software assets are properly tracked, recorded, and accounted for in asset management systems or tools
- Leads in the creation of software standards, software catalog updates, non-standard process exceptions and knowledge articles related to end user software products
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience performing IT Asset Management.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification(s) or experience working with ITIL v3 methodology.
- IAITAM certification(s) or experience working with IAITAM methodology.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related fields.
- Five or more years working with IT vendor contracts, pricing negotiations and/or supply management functions.
- Five or more years of experience working on IT software audits.
- Five or more years reviewing statement of work and negotiating vendor services.
- Five or more years working in SAP and Ariba contracting and procurement processes.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
