In this job, you'll be working on our Digital & Process Transformation team, which is an innovation team within IT. Our goal is to design efficient processes, while strengthening and standardizing how we measure and monitor process performance after technology deployment, enabling faster long‑term gains in process capability. Responsibilities
- Leads projects; determining scope, budget, timelines, forms teams, assigns tasks, manages resources and issues.
- Develops and implements best practices and policies to govern business processes as well as strategic plans for digital transformations of end-to-end work management processes.
- Relies upon Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and other project management principles to effectively streamline processes and new initiatives.
- Develops strong relationships at all levels of the organization and leverages those relationships to improve overall department performance.
- Creates, implements, and manages resources that optimize processes and improve data quality. Directs and oversees technology project prioritization while adhering to annual budget.
- Conducts analyses and oversees the preparation of reports that provide operational and technical support to business operations.
- Designs and implements key performance indicators (KPIs) to streamline business strategy and leads key process improvement initiatives that help achieve company goals and improve customer satisfaction.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience in business process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency with leveraging AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate tasks such as discovery and analysis, with strong governance, data privacy, and human validation.
- Expertise in BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
- Experience establishing standards, best practices, artifacts, governance, and measurement for any given process.
- Knowledge of Design Thinking fundamentals.
- Experience leading multi-workstream process designs.
- Comfortable in agile delivery.
- Has led large, long-term process redesigns with responsibility for outcome focused results.
- Experience influencing and communicating with leadership, including executive stakeholders, driving decisions across competing priorities.
- Experience facilitating working sessions with minimal guidance while determining the approach to solutions.
- Clear written/verbal communication skills and ability to tell stories with data.
- Has coached and mentored junior designers, providing guidance about work activities.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory, to do field research and discovery.
