In this job, you’ll you’ll manage construction and technology projects focused on safety, security, and compliance with evolving North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements. Additionally, you will support our PMO Senior Manager with the development and implementation of strategic technology initiatives in support of Corporate Security’s long-term technology roadmap and security strategy.  Leading multi-functional project teams through the development of complex security plans and the implementation of vital, cutting-edge security solutions and projects is a paramount objective of this PMO.

Responsibilities

  • Manages activities of one or more large, mid to long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes
  • Develops business plans, objectives and initiatives for the organization
  • Provides inputs to organizational objectives and policies and ensures delivery of results
  • Engages regularly with senior management as a key consultant on critical business issues
  • Identifies and manages resolution of major or complex project issues in order to meet goals of the project and maintain timeline and budget for the project
  • Implements, establishes, and maintains key strategic metrics that ensure project effectiveness
  • Maintains transparent and efficient resource planning and allocation process for ongoing projects within the assigned area of responsibility; Ensures all on-going project strategies are in compliance with SCE standards, as well as political and regulatory requirements when applicable
  • Develops resource and financial requirements from the project plan; Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project
  • Analyses project portfolio performance and financial reporting, continuously improving reporting using multiple tools and key performance metric tracking; Facilitates the internal information exchange for key stakeholders by providing project status reports
  • Identifies project performance issues, analyzes and addresses them in a timely manner
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
  • Project Management Certification (PMP Preferred)
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Proficient ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings (including designing electrical single-line and logic diagrams)
  • Experience maintaining multi-million dollar budgets and development of financial forecasts.
  • Advanced experience interpreting and/or designing electrical single-line and logic diagrams.
  • 10 years or more of experience managing large capital budgets and leading major construction projects. 
  • 7 years of contract management experience
  • 7 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with OSHA safety 

 

Additional Information

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
