The role primarily assists workers’ compensation advisors by managing a range of administrative duties and prioritizing effective customer service as well as timely benefit administration.

Responsibilities

  • Answers main phone line(s), providing information to callers and/or directs calls to appropriate staff.
  • Opens, sorts, scans, and assigns incoming mail utilizing online and PC Applications.
  • Completes a high volume of printing and mailing for entire staff.
  • Electronically submits confidential documents to business partners/vendors.
  • Completes Corporate Records Center requests, monitors receipt, scans files, and documents system.
  • Handles high volume tasks while performing quality control.
  • Organizes and prioritizes a heavy workload, adjusting to changing priorities, working independently and in a team environment.
  • Exercises discretion and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Interacts with all levels of internal and external contacts with a high degree of professionalism.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possesses three years experience performing thorough administrative support, and clerical functions.
  • High level knowledge of computer software, on-line applications and office equipment.
     

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Three years of experience performing thorough administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions
  • Knowledge of and experience with Workers’ Compensation Laws, Rules and Regulations
  • Experience working in a multi-task environment taking direction from multiple staff with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, MS Outlook or equivalent applications
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls

 

Additional Information

 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
