Responsibilities
- Develops designs to strengthen and modernize the grid as well as strategically planning around site specific challenges for new customer service requests.
- Oversees proposed construction project plans and blueprints from external entities (cities, developers, etc.) to mediate conflict with transmission facilities and right of ways.
- Provides design engineering, cost estimates, and project management activities for overhead and underground, transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution systems.
- Designs deteriorated transmission pole replacements, asset decommissioning projects, and maintenance work.
- Oversees and ensures a schedule management plan is in place and weekly interface with others inside or outside of the company.
- Leads and guides multi-disciplinary teams during the design, construction, and operations of infrastructure projects relative to regulatory requirements, environmental due diligence, and planning.
- Creates and monitors business unit budget and directs activities to correct variances.
- Oversees the development of critical-path schedules for day-to-day maintenance activities such as maintenance outages.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience in electrical utility distribution, transmission or telecom design or line construction.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction standards, transmission design standards, or G.O. 95/128/165/131E standards.
- Experience preparing and reviewing work orders or construction plans on projects using construction, engineering, and design practices and procedures.
- Experience developing strategic plans to support customer satisfaction, workflow processes, allocation of resources, and department operations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and programs such as DM, GeoView, and Click Schedule.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering or related field.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Covina. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at alternate work location.
- Position will require up to 40% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
