Become an Energy Delivery and Distribution, Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This position resides within Metering Design & Operations (MDO) under Meter Operations. The Senior Specialist partners with Senior Metering Specialists, Advisors, Engineers, and Project Managers to support the delivery of complex service order requests across the Metering Operations organization. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytical expertise to interpret data and deliver actionable insights that support operational performance. Using tools such as FATS, EMST, and Click Mobile, you will support the review of service orders and provide guidance on non-standard, high-impact metering scenarios. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Specialist manages competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting cross-functional collaboration, process improvements, and strong customer and operational outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Provides adequate, accurate information to stakeholders to keep affected customers properly informed.
  • Applies data extraction, transformation and/or loading techniques in order to connect large data sets from a variety of sources.
  • Performs in-depth analysis, develops recommendations that support the organizations, and addresses concerns that require technical knowledge to resolve.
  • Improves and executes processes that support construction, maintenance, and inspection activities.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and monitors scheduled and unscheduled operations.
  • Contributes to the planning, design, and operation of the energy transmission and distribution system.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and improves the performance, reliability, and safety of the transmission and distribution system, as well as to identify and resolve any issues or risks by applying data and analytics skills.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in energy delivery and distribution.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Experience working with SAP and related enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis, investigate and resolve complex issues, draw insights from data, and present findings to key stakeholders.
  • Advanced experience developing and editing complex reports, dashboards, and presentations, including generating custom and non-standard reports from business applications and databases.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing workloads, maintain attention to detail, and follow through on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate across functions, integrate work across related areas, and drive improvements that enhance customer satisfaction and operational productivity.

 

 

Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
