Responsibilities
- Provides full-time technical support to the operations and business unit staff.
- Aids in managing subcontractors' schedules for fielding and design deliverables, providing vendor liaison support and maintaining third party relationships.
- Establishes, documents, and maintains procedures and guidelines related to the day-to-day operational support provided to the operations and business unit staff.
- Maintains tracking for long-term performance evaluations and ensures adherence to baseline requirements.
- Documents field trips and product analysis to enable continuous improvement of troubleshooting procedures, product installations, and product robustness.
- Presents project status updates to senior managers during weekly progress meetings.
- Helps develop the scopes of work required by pole owners and power utilities for design and pole loading analysis.
- Resolves incidents and problems and provides support to the monitoring and reporting of the supported systems performance, collaborating with teams in an Agile environment to deliver project goals and solutions.
- Validates and maintains reference information, documentation and databases in order to effectively evaluate, design and engineer complex work requests.
- Performs in-depth analysis, develops recommendations, and may provide consulting to address customer and/or Company problems/issues which cross organizational boundaries and require thorough technical knowledge to resolve.
- Leads team or participate as a team member during implementation of specialized technical projects
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in technical support.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful completion of a recognized single-phase, poly-phase, and/or electrical theory training/testing at SCE or another institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a technical field.
- Proven experience with electrical metering theory and complex principles.
- Proven experience with Field Services processes such as Order Instituting Rulemaking (OIR) and credit disconnects/reconnects.
- Experience with proper installation of new customer metering installations and application of SCE Electrical Service Requirements (ESRs), including safety aspects of Meter Technician (MT) or Field Services Representative (FSR) work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, management, and other organizations.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to analyze information, develop solutions, and communicate results across functions.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
